The First Snow by *amorphisss Baby, it's cold outside (I'm singing)... at least in the Great White North. The family of Squirrels have the right idea to light the darkness and enjoy the snow.

Description

I was preparing this drawing for a long time and I could never manage to finish it. It's a winter scene of a family squirrel, in which the father squirrel goes to kindle the lantern outside their house and the little squirrel calls him because the meal is ready. It's the first snow of the winter and all the animals of the forest search a warm place. The only sound outside is the sound of the snow. :)

I usually don't comment if there's a lot already, but wow, how magical! This is a perfect illustration of magic from childhood which takes the viewer back into the earliest simple days when the biggest fears are grey and undefined and forests are full of wonder. The juxtaposition of bright golden glow in the foreground with grey but not dark forest is perfectly done, resulting in tinctorially very pleasant result. Love it!!!😍
